Elikonos 2 S.C.A. SICAR: Completion of the €7 million investment in Select Fish S.A.

Elikonos 2 S.C.A.SICAR announced its tenth investment of €7 million and the acquisition of a minority stake in Select Fish S.A.

Select Fish S.A. is active in fish processing and packaging and is the largest distributor of salmon in the domestic market. Select Fish S.A.’s customer portfolio consists of supermarket chains and fish traders both in Greece and abroad. Select Fish S.A. has long-term partnerships with the largest fish farms in Greece and abroad, has been active in Greece since 1995 and employs 120 people. Elikonos 2 S.C.A. SICAR, a €85 million venture capital fund, aims to finance growing Greek Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Elikonos 2 S.C.A. SICAR draws its capital from the EquiFund Venture Capital Fund, an investment platform of the Greek State and the European Investment Fund (EIF), the Hellenic Development Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and other institutional and private investors. Elikonos 2 S.C.A. SICAR is managed by Elikonos Capital Partners S.a.r.l., which has been active in the field of venture capital since 2012 with total funds under management of over €100 million.

Equifund is funded by the Greek ESIF Fund of Funds (TAESYM) from the European Union/European Regional Development Fund / Operational Programme “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation” (EPANEK), EIF and Institutional Investors, and aims to facilitate access to finance mainly for SMEs through the creation of Venture Capital Funds in Greece in cooperation with authorised financial intermediaries.
